Standin' on the corner, in Winslow, Arizona...

Our first stop after leaving the Grand Canyon was Winslow, AZ - or actually, technically, the Meteor Crater RV Park.  In retrospect, we should've just driven to Holbrook or Gallup, but we had thought we wanted to do the crater again.  Turns out we didn't - not for the prices they wanted and during the hours they had it open (it was closed during the good photography hours).  But that's OK - it was a very nice RV park.

Taking the kids for their campground orientation.

We're so torn...  This is often the scene - one cat going the one way, and of course, the other cat going in the opposite direction!    Yes, the dogs do it too but not quite as bad.

Cool monkey bars, which Tractor amazed us by being able to climb around on!

One of the reasons we stopped in Winslow.  The Eagles' famous song had been painted into reality by renown 3-D artist, John Pugh.

And wait - it looks like she's checking him out too!  If he turned around, don't you think she'd be there, driving by, looking at him?!  Amazing painting.  You can read/see more on this image here:  http://www.roadtripamerica.com/murals/Arizona-Winslow.htm

 A flatbed Ford...

 Bill standin' on the corner...

Overall, this stop was fine.  Not our favorite - because Winslow appears to be a dying town and also because while hooking us up in the RV park, I took a couple steps backwards and fell over their unusual little sewer hook-up box (I landed hard on my back and head and still have some numbness in the toes of my left foot.  Probably should see a chiro but can't quite bring myself to it...!).  No more backing up for me!!).   But it was interesting to see that little Route 66 corner...
