This is a feedstore/cafe where you can have the best food, bar none, AND be greeted by chickens, peacocks, and turkeys! It's the one thing you MUST do if in the area!!!!!!!!!!! (unless you're on a diet...! or allergic to birds...)

Seeing them so often at zoos and such, it's easy to take nature's perfection for granted and to forget how truly spectacular peacocks are! What a walking showcase! Yes, this is what so many women, with all their fancy shoes, clothes, hairdos, and make-up, must be trying to achieve!
And this guy ain't too bad either.
And this guy! He has what one of our animal rehabilitator friends would call a Tina Turner or Billy Idol hairdo.

I wish I'd taken photos of the food too - if my little point & shoot's flash was still working, I would have! I ordered the cheese blintzes. They were topped with syrupy raspberries that smelled and tasted just like fresh, homemade, hot jam! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!! Simply out of this world. Has to be the best anything I've ever eaten - and that's saying A LOT for this foodivore!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bill also raved about his more standard breakfast dish (eggs, toast, etc.), and the cinnamon roll we tried was unlike any other we'd ever had - delicious!!! I so wish there were San Marcos Cafes everywhere!!!!!!!!!! It makes me sad to think we might not be going back that way...
