On May 10th, we rolled into Amarillo, Texas. We had planned on staying just one night as the name suggests, but rain changed our mind, and we stayed two!
Here, one of the (many!) park cats helps check us out and check us in.
One of the neat (and unusual) things about this park is that a few of the sites have their own dog runs! Ouray and Seneca weren't quite as keen on them, as they prefer to be with us 100% of the time. They really get put out when they think we're just treating them like a couple of dogs! As it turns out, the rain saved them, and they ended up spending only a few minutes in their outdoor kennel.
Hmmm, something wrong with this picture?? I think the folks running this park told us they had something like 20 cats (including kittens they were trying to find homes for... No, we can't take on more kitties, sorry!)!!
The kitties watch the rain come down.
The rains leave and we get a sunny afternoon for a cat walk.
Scratty playing in the leftover puddles.
Tracky and his dad, reflected.
Tractor and Scratty go in the dog park to meet a pup. He's a little too nervous to meet for too long though! But his mom is awfully nice (and not so nervous!).
