The Old Mill

In 1931, a developer had a water-powered grist mill replica (circa 1880s) built as homage to Arkansas pioneers.  This neat building and pretty landscaping were also used in the opening scenes of "Gone with the Wind."

Hmm, the pond's color is a little different than the natural waterways there...  (probably algaecide)

But it's pretty neat, don't you think?

What are all those things in the water?  Fish?  Are they feeding the fish?  Nope!  They're turtles!  Lots of turtles!  Maybe they're man-eating turtles, hoping for these tourists to fall in!  Well, you never know...
