Side trip - Lake Dardanelle State Park

Because this place had sounded good on-line, and it wasn't TOO far a drive from PJ, I wanted to check it out and see if it might be worth going to next.

It was a really pretty park, but most of the RV sites really looked too small/squished - not to mention hard to get a reservation for (all of which seems to hold true for most of the AR state parks).

 Awww, babies!

 Family outing.

OK, you can always count on me to have some weird photos too, right?  And here they are!
Big dead fish skeletons!  Scattered all over the lakeshore in this one spot.  (yeah, keys for size comparison - looks really professional now, eh?).

Seem like appropriate photos for Halloween, right?

But I'm still not sure why there were so many of these skeletons here - they were in the water and on the land.  Bill suggests that fishermen might've left them, or other critters could've dragged 'em out of the water after fishermen threw the carcasses in.

 Pretty pier.
