Downtown Hot Springs

While exploring the area, we went up the Hot Springs Mountain Tower.

Mostly just miles and miles of green trees, but here is a view towards the city of Hot Springs.

And here, looking towards the old downtown area, with Bathhouse Row.  Mostly you can't see it though, for all the trees in the way!

Bill, up at the top, admiring the view.

And then, down on the main drag.

Love these old, faded ads on the sides of buildings.

Another street scene of the neat old buildings that now house tourist shops.

An amphibious duck tour car-boat.  (yeah, this is like the one that got run over by a tug boat in the Delaware River in Philly a couple years ago).

Here one of the hot springs trickles down the hillside and into a contained pond.  And yes, the water in that pond is hot!

One of the fountains sprinkled around the place where you can help yourself to a drink (although it may be too hot for that!) or to collecting water.
